Finally in stores...!

This last week I began my first retail experience with my bulletin boards. There are two large 24"x24" boards at my store (my Aunt Glady's shop and where I work), Reinertson's Embroidery that are being displayed in the front windows. I also brought two to the Heart of the Artichoke, a little antique and consignment shop here in Albert Lea where they will be used to display fliers and business cards and are for sale as well. I am so excited about this venture because I want to share my creations with my local community. What a better way than to showcase them inside wonderful local small businesses? I can't think of a better way! Of course I am still taking special orders, so let me know what lovely little thing I can put together for you!

Our first craft show of the season...

I just downloaded these photos of my table last weekend and wanted to share them, as well as pictures of the gift I made for Amanda.

A new infusion of color!

I've been crafting up a storm these days, waiting for baby, and have made some really unique new creations. I love them all, I've been walking around the house looking for a place to put another one! We spent last Saturday at a show in Alexandria and had a lot of fun despite the meager turn-out. There are a few shows this fall that should be fun as well, so we have a lot on the craft show agenda. I am getting so excited about getting my name out there because I so love when clients call me and have new creative ideas for me. Wrapping up and sending a gift for someone is so much fun! I love this job! I just hope I have enough business to keep it going! Here are some pics of the newest additions to my collection...

A midwest business beginning...

Hi! It's been almost a million years since I have posted anything about my business...so here are some updates. This coming weekend I will be attending my first craft show where I will sell the french bulletin boards that I've been crafting for years. Some are fancy and some are simpler, which makes it a little easier to cover them up with photos and ticket stubs! I am really excited because I am going to have one table for my things (I also have earrings that I've made and some teacup candles) and another for the business I work for, owned by my cousin Gladys and her hubby. We do custom embroidery which is a really popular idea when it comes to personalizing garments and other such things for holiday gifts. The craft show is at the Freeborn County Fairgrounds this saturday the 15th of November from 8-2. I am also taking special orders that will be ready before christmas! Come visit me and see if there's anything you'd like to order for your loved ones for Christmas.

To everything there is a beginning...

Welcome love...I am just embarking on this new venture of having a blog, as well as trying market some of the classy shabby chic gifts I make and sell (and often give away too)! I'm calling it 'Because Lola Loves'. Why? Simply because these little pieces of home decor are some of the things that represent memories I love the most. I'll post some pictures soon! Yay for updates!
